they've never put the research into it ... would take a long time ...possible ...probably like uranium nuclear though cost prohibitive because of the cost of containment
sun and wind will give plenty of energy and cheaper ... yes environmental impacts still but significantly less energy storage is the key for them - still work to be done - hydrogen chiefly IMO as an energy store
