I attended a seminar some weeks back on the NDIS and in short although I agree with the premise of the scheme many would not be surprised to hear that the costings are not complete on the project.

There is guaranteed to be a shortfall in year one of the scheme as the level of savings put aside to fund it will nowhere near cover the cost of it.

Then in the years following it is anticipated the costs will be equal to at least $20billion per annum, with the increase in the mediacre levy to only cover a small percentage of the overall cost.

Even worse is that it is proposed that 'specialist care providers" and not doctors will decide who and who does not qualify for assistance, that is a recipe for disaster!!

Again another poorly thought out policy by the alp.
