Pretty sure this has been answered multiple times in presentations (at AGM) and in the media articles of late.

Basically, Daigou's are not made to feel particularly welcome in the larger supermarkets (every second week there seems to be a beat-up about 'Chinese shoppers stripping shelves of baby formula'), AU8 stores offer an environment where they are not just welcome, but are the target clients.

Add to that the ease of dispatch/shipping to China, staff who speak their language, more products than just milk powder (i.e. a one-stop-shop for Australian products) and the ability to accurately trace the authenticity of the items purchased (this should not be underestimated).

Can it be copied - yes. Will that be relatively easy - probably. Are there benefits to being one of the first in the marketplace, as well as having relationships from early on with both suppliers and Daigou's - absolutely. I suppose time will tell.
