Out on this one, BM is 6 years away potentially a decade, potentially won't happen.
"Mr Bourne said that the company planned to complete a bankable feasibility study on the project by the
end of 2015. If that study was also positive and subject to success at the Latrobe Valley pre-commercial
demonstration facility, production could potentially start at Bacchus Marsh in 2018."
Whats changed with exergen??
BM was always going to be Plan B, I'd say exergen have potentially confirmed or have been assured of an LV tenement that has been the reason IMO. If they are allocated a billion tonnes it would potentially i'd say over 20 years to export deplete etc. Brockway could potentially have something organised at LOy yang as well who knows???
Mantle can have huge tenanments 30 cm from exergens potential 1 billion tonne allocation we won't see a cent till they have depleted there own which could be years away.
"Mantle recently announced an exploration Joint Venture Agreement (JVA) with Exergen
Pty Ltd. Exergen has developed a breakthrough brown coal dewatering technology called
Continuous Hydro-Thermal Dewatering (CHTD) and intends developing a $50million
demonstration project to prove CHTD at commercial scale" Previous jorc announcement the demo plant was going to be at BM and has now shifted to LV.
"Exergen’s focus now will be to prove its CHTD technology at scale by developing a $70 million pre-commercial demonstration facility, to be located in the Latrobe Valley"
Funding could be an issue with partners??? Demo plant costs blown out?? DFT completed?? has it really - 100m initial investment required for both projects - if they focus on LV they can reduce this to potentially 70m which is what could be feasible, This is still a guessing game and like all companies exergen will do what is best for exergen as they have with yesterdays announcement.
Not sure what caused the surge to 11c in the afternoon but happy i could sell out and get out with a small profit.
on the side lines for now, we'll see what pans out but looking for a lower entry point for now if ever.
I like the positiveness and the new constant joining of dots.
Cheers M. Oz.
