Short sellers are having a field day as people lose confidence in decent stocks and stops are triggered etc. When will the relevant authorities realise that the volatility encouraged by CFDs and other short selling mechanisms do nothing but harm to markets. It is people with hard earned real money invested in the markets that provides capital for companies to contribute to the economic prosperity of the country. Those that simply trade upon others misfortune are contributing nothing. This old crazy argument that they provide liquidity etc is just hot air!
