A couple of other strange phenomenon I have noticed recently:
Example #1: Lets say we try to place a nice sized order to purchase shares for $14.35 but we cannot get anyone to sell at that price. Yet someone will be perfectly happy to sell their shares for like $13.85. How is that possible? Why would someone want to sell their shares for $13.85 when they could have sold them for $14.35? It is like they were more interested in bringing the share price down than selling for a profit. Unless of course they were shorting and would make more money if they sold at the lower price.
Example #2: A situation I have noticed before and also on this last trading day Friday where there were a plethora of miniscule share trades throughout the day. These trades all seemed designed to bring the share price down. For instance there was a trade for 1 share that brought the price of the stock down like .10 per share. And there were many examples of low volume trades like this throughout the day.
