There is evidence, some of which was presented by @ppm56, that the early Christians had a belief in the Christian Trinity from the time of the apostles which was formalized in the 4th century when early Christian beliefs of the apostles were challenged.
Irrespective of personal religious beliefs including the nature of God, this is pretty much established historical fact about the early beliefs of Christians.
