IMO there is legal insider trading in every Company.

For example a Company announces it is building a unique production line and has confirmed orders upon succesful completion. There are many things that may go wrong in the design and manufacture so it is still a risk. The company doesnt have to announce anything more until successful completion or otherwise.
The average investor sits around for 12 months debating if all is well and holding off further investment pending its completion. He may decide it is a 50/50 chance of success.

As time progresses, those close to the company know all is progressing smoothly and on time, and altho it is still yet to be proven, they may feel confident it is a 90/10 chance of sucess.

Who has the easier investment choice at the cheaper prices?
