extract from announcement dated 4 April
Uranium development agreement with Ukraine State agencies Uran has agreed, under the supervision of the Ministry of Fuels and Energy of Ukraine, a protocol with State Enterprise, VostGOK (Protocol). VostGOK is
responsible for all uranium mining in Ukraine. The terms of the Protocol set out the intent of both parties to jointly carry out feasibility studies on two uranium projects in Ukraine with the view to establishing operations to mine uranium. Due to the classification of information relating to uranium as Secret in Ukraine, Uran Limited has been given access to only limited amounts of information on these deposits to date. Immediately following the release of the data Uran and VostGOK intend to commence a feasibility study on the mining of these deposits. SRK Consulting has been retained as the independent consultants to assist with the final feasibility study. In January 2007 the Ukraine Government announced the formation of a new State
Enterprise called UkrAtomProm to control all uranium and nuclear power bodies in Ukraine. The registration of this new body has delayed the final feasibility study,
however Uran has been informed that the terms of the Protocol have been registered with the new body and that our interests will be maintained under UkrAtomProm.
