Its interesting to note that PYC raised $2.1m in December 14, 2011 prior to the signing of the Janssen collaboration (announced January 3, 2012).
I'm sure that the Big Pharma waiting to sign deals are pleased and/or relieved to see new capital introduced and further encouraged by the fact that it will be issued at a premium. Of course the premium is contingent upon meeting certain milestones, however, Big Pharma signing the deals will ensure that the milestones are met.
