discounted milk

So how do posters feel about the milk discounting? Just read an article in the Australian reporting that Wesfarmers refuse to end the discounting. Dairy farmers contracted to the big players are hurting badly. Our independent Maleny Milk isn't big enough to take on any more suppliers though it would if it could. I refuse to buy the discounted stuff. Struggling families are mentioned a lot by those supporting the discounting, however, a lot of those struggling families are happy to come out of the supermarket with half a dozen bottles of Coke at $3 a litre. And I bet they would not be big contributors to our tasty/thrifty soup thread either.
