Yes, true.... However ME can only play his waiting game so long. In fact even though the extension was to November 09 for a drilling program to be devised with a JV partner he does not have that long realistically. I'm sure Senegal will not be as accommodating with a year wasted and still no deal struck.
If it does go down to the wire in Oct/Nov and a JV partner and drilling program are disclosed at the same time or very close together I would suggest that the deal was done some time before announcement and the market not informed.
Then again I am a conspiracy theorist.
