The announcment has some things in it of concern regarding Mt Carbine.
1) It has gone from an inferred resource, which at best was not Jorc compliant to the 2004 JORC code ( pages 13 - 15 of the June 08 prospectus arent typical of a JORC complaint resource with all the entailed QA/QC requriements ), to a exploration target. Big Targets admittedly , but now only targets.
2) It will try to double the target by going north, . Whats wrong with finding out whats in the pit? I would have thought 55 - 60 Mt wouldnt be a bad way to start.
3) The descripition of unclassified category makes no sense as other categories and their quantities are not indicated in the announcment
4) And most distrubing is the fact that the grades were VISUALLY estimated!! What !! How does this give you a JORC compliant resource as per the June 08 prospectus.
5) The announcment then says that assaying and density measurements will then get it to a JORC compliant resource. I thought it already was?
6) No mention of the fact that the Collingwood plant is back for sale and so any present deal must have fallen through.
Sorry , but not a good announcment. Shoddy in my opinion
