Another thing that happens is that a poster has something new or interesting to say or new information to provide and you want to go back to it but can't find it as its hidden in a thread full of banter.

It would help in this situation that, to make the information type posts more easily recoverable, such a post was placed by the poster as a new thread with an appropriately directive and specific heading.

Then the information could be relatively easily retrieved by inspection or search from the thread view list.

Or is there another way to "bookmark" posts that you might want to come back to that I don't know about?
