A virus infection makes a good route to developing a bacterial infection on top of a viral infection. It is very likely, that an antibiotic-resistant bacterial infection has developed when a Covid patient does not respond to the treatment. At least that should be considered in that kind of case. So there could be a need for PBT2, but it needs to be studied.
