I have no information on MLX/Renison's pricing mechanisms but i did the below work some time ago which tells me that MLX price off the cash contract (vs someone like AFM off the 3mth). Most of the time the market is in contango and this favours being on that futures contract but given the squeeze here the cash to 3mth contract spread is getting wider - and MLX should benefit greatly getting that almost US$40k/t cash contract today.
