I hope Musk, all EV automakers, and all CO2 abatement technologists and have incredible success. I've spread across a swathe the metals that will empower them especially Sn & Cu and do my little bit by posting on them.
What I see in Practice is Musk saying he will give a huge Ni contract to incentivise anyone to provide bulk new Ni ? Who gets the contract. BHP ! Realpolitik aka Pis-ing in my (our) pocket.
Oh yeah, he'll build a battery in 100 days. I forget the link to the one that caught fire in VIc. (his was the SA one). Wouldn't name my child after this.
