It would affect liquidity, to the upside. And it would illustrate share holders returns are paramount which would make it more attractive to insto's or majors.

All you need to do here is buyback 10% of the float (90m shares) over a 6mth period (3m shares a week, 0.6m a day). Would cost you A$35m at today's prices and they should have A$130m cash in the bank at 30 June. No brainer.
