The tied fates of explorers and the scientists they fund.
A recent case in point is the Focus Graphite's Graphoid Inc buying up Braille Battery. Made lots of press last couple of weeks so should be front of mind at this UK meet and greet, but there are other countless examples out there. TON keeps dropping token mentions of the Graphene Flagship. Why?
Is there some form of official relationship with the Flagship or is it merely a factoid dropped into the announcements. Can there be a relationship with the Flagship and its member countries without the need for any officialism? For example, the graphite samples that TON has stated it has 'seen interest in from potential buyers' - was the link to the Flagship the means in which these potential customers asked for the samples? Maybe TON sent a mailout to Flagship members stating 'we have some graphite for you guys to check out' and there's no need for an official relationship?
Do they feel tied to a particular lab once they've started testing their graphite? Do TON have a right to take its results and the testing methodologies employed by that lab if they terminate? Or is it all lab IP and they can't take a thing, in which case a change of lab means a return back to the drawing board on testing?
