Check out today's Course of Sales. Umpteen 2 and 1-share trades, starting this morning a few seconds apart, and gradually spreading out to a few minutes apart. All at $1.50 to start with, then a few at 1.505

I contacted ASX Surveillance to check it out - it doesn't look the same as the "usual" bot trading (algorithmic, or DMA - Direct Market Access trading)

Total volume is still miniscule, and mostly consists of a couple of trades of a thousand or two shares at different prices. The bot trading has only transferred a few shares.

Ridiculous!

Needless to say, I haven't heard back from ASX, and if/when I do, it will be the usual "Yes, that was DMA trading, and we don't mind"....

I'm not sure what this bot trading is actually trying to achieve, apart from "sucking" sellers down across the gap or capping the price. They certainly aren't accumulating or selling many shares!
