The structure of the bid says it all.

I, and I'm sure most people at present invested in DML, would love to have a convertible note paying 5%, with the option of converting at only 25% premium to the present rock bottom price in 5years.

So lets say in 5 years the price has crawled to 25c, they get to take about 50% of the company at 15c.
If not profitable, get their money back[with interest]
