Geraldton, WA, a few years back....guy rocked up to a house at night armed with a revolver (and drunk), fired a shot into the house, demanding repayment of a $10,000 debt. The owner locked his wife & kids into an upstairs bedroom & went down, out the back to confront the guy. They fought, the the guy with the gun died, the owner of the house spent 4 months in the boob without bail on a murder charge.....how fair is that.
Kalgoorlie, again a few years back, guy heard a noise outside, and found an ex-workmate wrecking his car with a hammer. He went out, decked the guy who came at him with a hammer, and gave hm a few punches to settle him down. Hey, guess which one was arrested and taken away? How fair is THAT?
At least in the US, you can defend yourself, you cant here.
