Nick, with all respect, as eloquent as you are, you're sounding like an apologist for banks and, specifically, the RBA.

The views you have read on this thread from many posters may seem to you naive, even suburban. Nonetheless they are how people are seeing the banks' conduct and Mr Stevens' actions.

If you are in a position to do so, you may wish to pass those views on to people who should know, if they care at all, as I feel those views reflect the greater community.
