Hate to admit this, but although the Libs have fought an amazing campaign if they do lose this election the problem does go back to John Howard (great PM as he was) refusing to hand over to Peter Costello around the time of the APEC meeting in Sydney.....
If Peter Costello had led the Liberals to the 2010 election it would have been a clear victory. Howards ego is probably going to result in 6 years of opposition for the Liberal Party....
Peter Costello imho is the best credentialled person in the country to be PM. surely he must be having regrets now given that the Liberal Party have shaken the hell out of a one term ALP government with a leader (Tony Abbott) that nobody could seriously have ever given a chance even 6 months ago....
maybe our only hope now is if Twiggy Forrest managed to work some magic during his lunch with two of the amigo's this afternoon....
