I'm just about retired myself and will be fully self funded but I don't expect the taxpayers to chip in. Labor will change some rules so I will need to adept my retirement funding strategy.

The bigger problem is that unwinding Howard and Costello's middle class welfare will be extremely difficult for any government. They locked in welfare when times were good and made them a millstone for future govts.
