Take one look at what operators like Insitu are doing with BVLOS. Yes Nearmap will adopt drones in due course.
Drones will be just another tool making acquisition cheaper.
Won't change the back end compute/storage problems - will only exacerbate as the amount of storage climbs. Going from 8cm GSD to 4cm GSD is not double the data - but four fold. The jump to 2cm is 16 fold.
Drones might make rural acquisition on higher repeat scheduling viable .. making it a better service .. more subscribers. Rinse. Repeat.
