copaking, thats what QFX is going to be like when they are able to improve content selection via new deal with the studios.

Foxtel have only really started being more active in internet tv they are still trying to get as much return as they can from the existing deals they have with the studios for their cable. They would have to renegotiate with the studios if they want to send the movies on demand via the net. they would probably need to pay more for that so they are going to do it slowly to reap as much return as they can from cable before they make hard push into streaming if that what they are planing to do.

    New Foxtel prices from March

Foxtel has announced new pricing for its subscribers from March, which sees a range of increases and decreases.
Get Started, currently $45 per month is renamed as Essentials at $47 per month (includes IQ).

Add-on packs Kids & Music, Drama & Lifestyle and Knowledge & Adventure (renamed Documentary & Adventure), currently $16 per month, drop to $15 per month for one, $20 for two and $25 per month for three.

Movies which were $32 per month drop to $25 per month.

Now you will notice that what has increase is the sports component. This is because they know that none of the internet tv or streamers provide sport channels (none of them have signed deals) hence they are exploiting that fact to get the best return.

BUT..look at the price for movies and kids etc. they have gone down. Why? because thats where the area of competition is..
