Equities are an asset class and are subject to the "flow of money" in and out.
When funds de-allocate away from equities and go to cash (say)they sell their LYC positions along with all their other equity positions. In fact as LYC is a high beta equity it may well be one of the first to be sold. This is irrespective of the sound underlying LYC story.
On the flip side, when money comes back into the market good stories like LYC (assuming all goes well with the Malaysians) will be the first to be bought and bought hard.
Of course macro-economic factors such as a greek default will influence the LYC shareprice. You might well be defending your LYC position with bullish posts but let's not be ignorant of the facts.
