I am amazed that you would have to do such a thing, just for a revamping of the trading platform. I would have thought that the broker could have kept your shares intact during the process, but what would I know?
Thanks for letting us know that. Sorry you had to take a hit, $1800 now, and now you probably will have to wait another year to get your CGT discount. Since you have held so long, you don't deserve to lose that.
