Local politics would have a big influence on national politics IMO. If Siumut have a poor showing in the local southern Greenland political scene, it's a reflection on the party as a whole. Appears IA will have a strong base of supporters in southern Greenland heading onto the next general election which could make all the difference. Believe that was the case in the last election and its only gotten worse for Siumut there.
