On the 4.6.16 The AFR published an article accredited to Catie Low revealing opportunities Linfox are investigating “ in Australia’s fragmented & inefficient supply chain” to the convenience store sector. According to Low, Linfox is leading a,”…high profile consortium “, bent on building a new grocery distribution business which would avoid interrupting business already coming their way from the major retailers. This will apparently put Linfox head to head with Metcash.
Now Metcash’s name was mentioned six times in this article yet not one HC post has commented on that or the questions which everyone who read it must be asking themselves. I thought that Low reported good information in an unbiased way but did leave me feeling that Metcash management would have to work harder to counter such an incursion.
