well there is... people would have a much higher chance of virus transmission (not just corona virus, viruses in general) and/or decreased hygiene, resulting in people getting sick and possibly dying... no other product works like ZNO, so it isn't like there is a replacement hanging around... and I'm sure there are others more than happy to line up to get the ZNO exclusive contact for the area.
