ok ok this is all quite interesting but since the D to E with cnp then wouldnt a rise in the CER (which most likely raise CNP) mean that the shares now in control by the banks would be worth more, im not saying that the banks need to sell these to raise capital but the banks would also benfit from a higher SP. However i think that this is all a lil pointless as the long term holders seem rather happy to sit and hold regardess of div this year. Or maybe thats just me. And im sure CER will let us all know what is happening soon enough.
