    In the eyes of CNP, CER is not different from any of the REITs.

    If theres a D2E swap, there will be even more incentive for CER to pay out dividends as the banks would want to ensure maximum return on any hybrids issued.

    CER also are much lowly geared. The favourable movements in the exchange rate will materially affect the net value of their US properties in AUD terms in a big way (this is all discussed on the CER thread)

    Ive read the CER constitution (go to ASX announcements and look at 2005). I dont think an interim dividend is compulsory although I do believe one will be paid.

    My portolio is now 100% CER and I'm quite comfortable with that diversification in my portfolio at this time
