There has been much talk of distributors not taking on VitroGro on the grounds that they will make better profits out of more expensive, if less effective, existing products. Could be the case and cynics may have a point.
But, the only products on the list of TIS competitors to have any involvement with a major Pharma are:
Integra, which has done a deal with Johnson & Johnson Medical.
Transcyte/Dermagraft, was Smith & Nephew but sold to Advanced BioHealing.
Apligraft, was Novartis Pharma AG but returned to the manufacturer Organogenesis.
Graftjacket is distributed by its manufacturer Wright Medical Technology, and the other products seem to have multiple local distributors.
Reading the discussion on product effectiveness, it seems that VitroGro will do what its competitors cannot and, by implication, can also do what they can do. In other words, it can replace all existing product. Looks attractive for a big Pharma, or two.
