part of the problem on this thread is that posters are thinking like lawyers and not like mothers. What the mother did was not wise but one could hardly call it despicable. A mother will throw herself in front of bus to save her children so I am afraid when it comes to the way people behave sometimes the law of nature trumps the law of the land. She has behaved like a desperate mother...not a criminal. I think at least that fact has been recognized as she is not going to be pursued legally for her actions.
