I thought it was the other way around....they were illegally ripped from the father.
The mother set a very bad example for her children and its a shame she wasn't jailed. That is why she didn't go back to Italy...because she would be found in contempt and jailed. This fellow seems like a nice guy and is even giving an undertaking that he won't pursue the mother over this incident. I on the other hand wouldn't be so cordial. In fact, I would never have given permission for the children to leave the country of their birth which was Italy.

Maternal Grandparents...you mean the ones that were hiding the children from the courts lol

As far as the kids go,
I never said that I don't believe children have no rights and should not be heard, but in this instance there was a clear breach of the law and undue influence by the mother and maternal grandparents.
