when this first came up didn't the mother say there may have been sexual abuse going on with the daughters by the father? which is why they did everything they could to not have to go back to him and are now rightly upset at the ruling. it doesn't really sound like a case of "oh i just don't want to go back to italy cos we don't get on anymore". that would never fly. i thought there was more to it. maybe im thinking of something else.
