Ex div for first payment is 26/06
Bass Strait Oil Trust advised that the royalty received for the quarter ended 31 March 2006 was $10.9m, making a total for the half year of $21.3m. This is 21% higher than the estimate contained in the Prospectus on an annualised basis, 5.7% higher than the previous quarter and 8.7% lower than the previous half year. The principal reason for this higher quarter royalty was the higher average $A oil price for the 3 months ended 31 March 2006. The total distribution per redeeming ordinary unit for the royalty period 1 October 2005 to 31 March 2006 will be 48.3483 cents, comprising 25 cents capital redemption payment and 23.3483 cents income. This distribution will be paid on 17 July 2006 to unitholders who registered as at the close of business on 30 June 2006.
