The Soros family recently (maybe12 mths) winded back their involvement with public funds and I believe have only keep investments that are 100% family money.

Legend International Holdings Inc (not to be confused with ASX listed Legend Mining) is the main operating vehicle for Joseph Gutnick who no doubt many of you will be familar with his chequered career. I looked at the Legend Phosphate deposit maybe a year or so ago which was originally a OBS (formerly MET) tenement. ATT Soros and one of the major Indian fertiliser companies were major shareholders and as Diva noted food is getter scarcer. The last I heard was that they been granted a mining licence, however it is a hard rock phosphate deposit so will be expensive to set up and maintain the processing machinery.

Legend recently did a placement with Regal funds LP (also a shareholder in another indirectly controlled Gutnick coy "NAD").
Nevertheless if the Soros/MGO investment was to be sold due to the public fund liquidation I would imagine that attempts would be made to find an offmarket buyer/s.
