Thanks for sharing that OE, good, simple explanation for the non-technical people. One thing they did not mention is the hardware behind AI, especially neural AI, hardware that can learn and make decisions like a human brain.
With IoT, 5G, AI and big data, SSM is on the ground floor, building the infrastructure, without which nothing works. Of course, electricity and materials suppliers, like AGL, BHP, Altura etc, are often ignored in the technology world.
Then you have the hardware and software delivering that to the users, like the Telstra, NextDC, Megaport etc.
The cream on the top will be the people enhancing these basic things to make things wonderful, like the Appen, Brainchip etc.
Scattering all over the place are the leeches (not meant to be derogatory) off this technological backbone to make tons of money, like the Afterpay, EML, Temple and Webster etc.
I own shares in all the companies mentioned above and I am not telling anybody to buy them. It is just my overly simple way of investing in this fast changing and often confusing thing called the Internet of Things.
