    One of the important messages they emphasise is that they have the team with the political connections and experience to get things done in this part of the world.

    This is critical.

    I lived in Mali, West Africa working on the Syama gold project for 3 years in my old BHP days. Political connections and understanding how business works in West Africa was critical to success.
