Perhaps these slower times could provide Lynas with another form of income. Amanda wants to remain a horizontal company and continue to be the ROW leader focusing on large scale processing but it seems these days virtually everyone has a RE mine in their backyard.

That said I believe that Lynas could leverage its IP and experience by creating a development division consisting of some of the fine engineers and other key personnel that have built the existing systems including Mt. Weld, Kalgoorlie and Malaysia.

A new division could held guide new startups through the process of creating a RE mine and processing facility. Make no mistake, this development team would be employed by Lynas and they will be flexible to return to Lynas if needed on Lynas projects.

There is concern that Lynas would be creating direct competition however those familiar with demand destruction realize the increased availability of products may encourage engineers to adopt using this new technology.

Anyway, developing a technical team would allow Lynas to design and commission competing” companies while bringing attention to itself. Also, as many know, the consulting business can be very lucrative and Lynas has the horsepower to create and guide new players in this industry… JMHO…
