Just trying to estimate what the dollar value of the dividends (to be paid in Aug / Sept) this year. I know that there will be are still a number of variables but just after the calculation method if someone could help.
Assuming I hold 3,000 MPL shares and the price is $2.20 at the time of dividend announcement.
If they are predicting a Dividend Yield of 4% would I calculate the cash amount (not taking into account franking) as follows:
Dividend = (0.04 x $2.20 x 3000)
