if that happens, SUN should go down by the amount of The SUN Bank premium paid and BEN should go up by the same incremental amount of the SUN Bank premium paid with the differential being roughly the 30% Suncorp Bank premium that SUN would have to pay to BEN.
i think it may be negative 40 cents for SUN and about positive 80 cents for BEN but the AIFRS reporting of segments such as SUN Bank is very difficult to discern.
Australia should adopt US GAAP and we might all be able to do the calculation.
