    OK found the answer to my CR, there were 3 billion issued to institutional investors and 1.25 billion to eligible shareholders.

    so $4,250,000,000 / $14.15 = 300,353,357 shares issued and the first 2.5b buy back purchased 86,925,469 shares, if you use the currently share price for the next 2.5 billion to be spent, this works out at 77,279,753 shares or just over half the shares issued. Looks like NAB will have to keep on doing share buy back for a few more years IMO
