Ahhhh........you can't sue anyone in China.

You guys all know that a dividend really means nothing right?

If they pay a 1c dividend, the share price will drop by 1c.

Share prices don't really go up when people pay dividends they go down.

So what's the point?

In fact, a company will be far better off not paying dividends if they can reinvest the money back into the company to earn a good rate of return and compound that growth.

They don't have to pay a dividend either - even if if was mentioned in the prospectus. You would get the SBB masses a lot calmer by putting the $30m into the Australian Banks rather than harping on the dividend. Screw leaving $30m in China. Why would you do that.
