I feel your pain, I'm long and down too.
If QBE knew what they are doing, they'd have to report it to the market.
They do have a history of good reporting and when they need to, they are always over cautious.
The business they are in is subject to daily change, so you always get people saying "...but why didn't they mention xyz etc etc".
Will they cut the dividend or do a capital raising?
No ones knows and if they do they are guessing based on previous models.
Stocks are emotional in the short term and a weighting machine in the long term.
QBE is a good long term prospect, they'll adjust prices to cater for this but I've personally had to review it and think what at what cost do I do this.
