WBC not paying a dividend, but we dont get a CR either so that sounds like reasonable trade off to me.
NAB went the other way so u get a dividend but it gets swallowed by the CR.
I slightly prefer WBC approach.
I cant see any of the big 4 going bust in the near future, mortgages in australia cant just be shrugged off, if you sell for a loss the debt stays with you.
So people tend to hang on and make payments until the market recovers.
This is why house prices are sticky on the way down and we wont have a 30% crash like in the USA during GFC.
If we dont get another black swann event in next 3 years, this will be history like the GFC.
