There is the ex date and the record date As long as you BUY BEFORE the ex date and hold until the EX DATE(that trading day) yes you will get(Strip) the dividend.The record date takes into account T+3.
Also there are other rules associated with dividends. Go to ASX website and have some fun learning something.
